Journaling with Jane
This is the second year of our Dear Jane Journey! You can hop in and join us if you have ever started a “Dear Jane” quilt and had it stalled out? Or, if you always wanted to make a “Dear Jane” quilt but never know how to start? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, then join Ruth Davis and friends for “Journaling With Jane” class. This class is not for the faint of heart… Each month you will be given 8 blocks and 4 triangles to make. (2 blocks and 1 triangle per week.) You can show your completed blocks at the class and be celebrated for your accomplishment! Ruth will be emailing paper pieced patterns to all students for the next month following each class. You should be familiar with paper piecing, although a free refresher class may be offered if there is interest. For those who are joining for 2026 and did not take part in 2025, you will be able to get the patterns from last year emailed to you so you can continue your journey or finish in 2026!
| Requirements: | Please purchase a “Dear Jane” book by Brenda Manges Papadakis online. We will use these to keep track of progress and for journaling. Materials supplied by Instructor: Paper pieced patterns will be emailed to students following each class. Applique templates will be brought in as appropriate. Materials to be supplied by the shop: Paper for printing patterns. Fabric! Supply List for Students: Each month, students will bring in finished blocks from previous month. Show and Tell! Paper and pencil, or they can write directly in their “Dear Jane” book. Preparation Instructions for Students: Complete 2 blocks and 1 triangle for each week. (8 blocks and 4 triangles each month) |
